It's December, which means it's time for the annual Christmas music countdown here at Casa Susanna y Ricardo.
Today's listening recommendation from our ridiculously large holiday collection is"Christmas Harmony" by Inner Voices. First released in 1990 (on both CD and cassette!) it features an eclectic mix of styles and repertoire sung by a group of professional backup singers who all have the chops to be headliners.
It is a must-have for fans of great vocal harmony, and Al Jarreau joins in for a beautiful version of The Cherry Tree Carol. Other cuts include a great a cappella Boogie Woogie Santa Claus, the best version EVER of the Alfred Burt Carol "Some Children See Him," and an ethereal rendition of the "Balulalow" from Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols.
